PVDev ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Dot Blitz mobile game and the dotblitz.net website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We are based in the United States. This policy is written to comply with applicable U.S. privacy laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We require all users to confirm they are at least 13 years of age before accessing the Service. Users who indicate they are under 13 are denied access.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child may have provided us with personal information may contact us at Privacy@Dotblitz.net to request deletion.

A. Information you provide

• Google account information when you sign in: your name, email address, profile photo, and Google account ID.
• User-generated content you submit to the website, including screenshots (image URLs, captions, and level data) and skin votes.

B. Game data

• Your in-game username, highest level reached, total taps, and total coins earned. This data is generated by your gameplay and stored in our Firebase database.
• Your last activity timestamp.

C. Analytics data (collected automatically)

• Firebase Analytics: device model, operating system, app version, in-app events, session duration, crash reports, and general usage patterns.
• Google Analytics (website): pages visited, time on page, referring URL, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location derived from your IP address.
• Neither service is used to identify you personally by name for advertising purposes.

D. Technical data

• IP address and access logs collected by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and operational purposes.
• Firebase Authentication session tokens stored in your browser to keep you signed in.
• Analytics cookies and identifiers placed by Google Analytics (with your consent).

• To operate and display the game leaderboard, player profiles, and community features.
• To authenticate your account and keep you signed in.
• To display your user-submitted screenshots (pending approval) in the community gallery.
• To analyze how the Service is used so we can improve gameplay, fix bugs, and add features.
• To respond to your support or privacy requests.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

Service providers

• Google LLC (Firebase) — database, authentication, and analytics. Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
• Google LLC (Google Analytics) — website analytics. You can opt out using the cookie consent option on this site or via Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com.
• Vercel Inc. — website hosting and content delivery. Vercel's Privacy Policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Public information

• Your in-game username and leaderboard statistics are publicly displayed on the leaderboard.
• Screenshots you submit and that are approved by our moderation team are publicly visible in the community gallery.

Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, prevent fraud, or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

We use the following types of storage on the website:

• Strictly necessary: Firebase Authentication stores session tokens in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. These cannot be disabled without breaking login functionality.
• Analytics (with consent): Google Analytics uses cookies to measure site usage. We only load Google Analytics after you accept cookies via the banner shown on your first visit. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or using your browser's privacy controls.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Declining analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the Service.

• Leaderboard and game data is retained for as long as your game account is active.
• Screenshots removed by admins are deleted immediately from our database.
• Analytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention policies (typically 14 months for Google Analytics, 60 days for Firebase Analytics event data).
• Server access logs are retained by Vercel for up to 30 days.
• If you request deletion of your account data, we will remove your information from our database within 30 days.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Firebase security rules that restrict unauthorized access to data, and server-side authentication checks on all write operations. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

• Right to know: You may request a description of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
• Right to opt out of sharing: Google Analytics may share data for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out by declining cookies via the banner on this site or by visiting adssettings.google.com.
• Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights.

To exercise your rights, contact us at Privacy@Dotblitz.net. We will respond within 45 days of receiving a verifiable request.

• Sign-in: You can use the website without signing in. Signing in is only required for the player profile, community voting, and screenshot submission features.
• Analytics: You can decline analytics cookies via the banner shown on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser cookies.
• Data deletion: To request deletion of your account data from our database, email Privacy@Dotblitz.net. We will process your request within 30 days.
• Screenshots: Approved screenshots can be removed upon request by emailing us.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., Google Play, the App Store, social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
